  1. Terrified the whole time for you. Your movie is beautiful
You have lots of faith in those old weathered ropes, and other peoples work 😳

  2. Great video and great accomplishment! How was the route back down? you mentioned a lot of row training, did you do any other training?

  3. Awesome Climb Joey and a Great Guide in Tobias. The Cracks in the Rocks Looked Unnerving and with the Sheer Drops either side. And people also Climb it when it’s covered in SnowπŸ™‚πŸ‘Well done Super Climbing

  4. Dude, how do you only have this many subscribers? Here, have another one, because that was an incredible feat and video. Id have shat myself walking along the top without anything to hold onto.

  5. I don’t want to diminish the achievement in any way and the documentation with the shots is also very well done. But the Matterhorn is by no means the most dangerous mountain in the Alps. Otherwise there wouldn’t be caravans of mountaineering tourists brought to the summit by mountain guides every day during summer. There are several other peaks in the Alps that are much more dangerous. Greetings from πŸ‡¨πŸ‡

  6. His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There’s vomit on his sweater already, matterhorns spaghetti

  7. 1) it s called CERVINO ( like C-H-E)
    2) on the Italian side the hut Duca degli Abruzzi ( 3000 mt) up above Cervinia has the same breathtaking view of the mountain, sitting at its base

  8. Come on, man! You’ve left it on a cliffhanger! I could not wait to see what the descent looked like… It would be lovely to see it as Part 2 of the video! P.S. Well done for conquering that beast of a peak!

  9. This video made my palms sweat more than any climbing video I think I’ve ever seen.. Everest is one thing, this shit had me saying "hellllllllllll no" damn near the whole video, I’d be scared to fist bump or hug up there lol. I learned I will never be climbing Matterhorn, ever.

  10. THANKS FOR SHARING ! The amazingly narrow ridge walk on the top with vertical drops on each side made me dizzy and afraid of falling off my coach because it reminded me of some less dangerous ridges I had crossed where I had to sit down and slowly hop across. ; -)

  11. thank you for the visuals. but i still think you have lost your mind. wtf? you need help man. why the hell would you do that? be safe

  12. Pretty crappy of not documenting the random SIGNS telling the few braves SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO KNOW!?

  13. The guide’s short roping technique really is leaving a lot to be desired… God it gets worse the more I watch this.

  14. Awesome vid man! you should try the Serles in austria! Its not even half as challenging as the matterhorn (only 2700 meters or smth), but its view over the alps is absolutely amazing!

  15. Unreal editing , unreal voice over , great work with the google maps flyovers , I was enthralled , I’m a subscriber now , ( would be cool if you had a path tracing on the Google maps , if possible ) , seriously tho keep it up , inspiring

I’ve just put climbing this on my bucket list

    Keep crushing it

  16. What’s the song on the very start of the climb in the dark?
Also what kind of cardio/fitness benchmarks should one have surpassed before trying this climb you would say?
I’m thinking about going this summer since I live only 3 hours away…… but I’m unsure about my fitness level, I’m scared I’d get too out of breath around 4000 meters.

  17. The movie is so good and graphic that I was about to shit myself. Respect! It was something. Some parts were pretty scary.

  18. I don’t think I happened upon this video by accident. First of all this was so well done, the music, the videography and your voice (narrating) ; Story time: I live in the Canadian Rockies and have experienced some summits! What a rush. We have a mountain here called Mount Assiniboine (3,618 m, first accent in 1901) in British Columbia, they often call it the Matterhorn of the Rockies. Although I have never summited, I have been to the area many times hiking and camping. I knew this video came to me from my mother, who I just lost on January 24th at the age of 98.5!!! She was an amazing outdoors woman, like me!! BUT she ALWAYS wanted to go to Switzerland, so sad she never was able to visit. Our house growing up was even designed Swiss style! I will hold this video close to my heart for her. I have been to Switzerland, but was on a bike haha!! I have now Subscribed and can’t wait to watch all your videos.

  19. NO gloves!!! yikes…hands down the most stomach churning video. I cannot believe you trust those rocks, let alone the ropes. I will kiss the ground tonight.

  20. Nice video – well done! It reminded me of my own submitting of the Matterhorn a few years ago when I was 48. In my case, my guide decided we were going to summit first (which we did) out of some 80+ summiteers that day, and so we kept passing people and didn’t even stop at the Solvay Hut. Three and a half hours up and three and a half down. Crazy pace, imo, not much different from your own.

  21. Been trying to get to the top of this one for 2-3 years. What a journey. Halfway up once so far. Really want it! This is awesome! I climbed with your guide too, lol. We had a very bad day. Full of ice. Made it just past Solvay before we pulled the plug.
